FAQs

You may have questions about what it’s like to begin therapy. Browse frequently asked questions and please reach out if you’d like more information about my practice by clicking here.

  • To get started with therapy, you can reach out to me directly via email, phone or text. If you have additional questions, I’m happy to offer a free 15 minute consultation call.

Once we have agreed upon a time to meet, I will send an email invitation to my secure portal to complete new client forms in advance of your session.

  • In your first therapy session, we will explore your background, reason for seeking therapy, and what you hope to achieve through the process.

You’ll be invited to express your concerns or ideas, and I will provide some guidance about where we can begin. It's important to remember that you can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.

During our time together, I will share my approach to therapy and confidentiality policies to ensure you feel safe. At the end of the session, we will summarize what we’ve discussed and outline potential next steps or goals for future sessions. This is an opportunity for you to ask questions and determine if you feel comfortable continuing your therapeutic journey together.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule your therapy appointment, I ask that you please provide at least 24 hours notice. If you cancel less than 24 hours from our appointment time, you’ll be charged the full session fee. You can cancel an appointment by sending me a text or email.

  • I offer virtual sessions to provide you with flexibility and convenience and allow you to engage in therapy from the comfort of your own space, eliminating the need for travel and making it easier to prioritize your mental health. Whether you're at home, at work, or traveling, you can access support when you need it most. The virtual format maintains the same professional standards and confidentiality as in-person sessions.

  • I do not accept insurance; however, I am happy to provide you with the necessary documentation for you to submit to your insurance company for out-of-network benefits. I recommend you contact your insurance to inquire about out-of-network benefits. If you have any questions about the process or need specific forms, please let me know, and I will gladly support you.

You may also use an HSA/FSA to pay for sessions.
